Paulina & Joe’s Vintage Wildflower Picnic Engagement Session in the Mission Mountains
Nestled in the heart of Montana, the Mission Mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop for Paulina and Joe’s ethereal vintage-inspired wildflower engagement session, proudly published in Montana Bride Magazine. This romantic evening unfolded at a charming vintage homestead cabin, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and delicate white wildflowers. As a Montana intimate wedding and elopement storytelling photographer, I had the joy of capturing their love story, culminating in a dreamy picnic setup under a stunning sunset.

A Timeless Setting at the Vintage Homestead Cabin
The session began at a rustic homestead cabin, its weathered wood and nostalgic charm setting a perfect vintage tone for Paulina and Joe. The cabin, tucked amidst rolling hills, felt like a step back in time, complementing their classic love story. Against the dramatic snow-capped Mission Mountains, their connection shone, with soft embraces and stolen glances that radiated warmth.

White Wildflowers and Snow-Capped Peaks
The surrounding landscape was a vision of natural beauty. White wildflowers dotted the meadows, their delicate petals swaying in the breeze, while the towering Mission Mountains, still dusted with snow, added a majestic touch. The contrast of the soft florals and rugged peaks created a romantic, ethereal backdrop for Paulina and Joe’s portraits, capturing their love in Montana’s untamed wilderness.

A Romantic Picnic Under the Sunset
As the sun dipped low, we set up a vintage-inspired picnic that was pure magic. A cozy blanket was spread out, adorned with a wicker basket, flickering candles, and a bottle of champagne chilling beside juicy strawberries. A vintage camera and a weathered book added nostalgic charm, reflecting Paulina and Joe’s shared love for timeless adventures. The golden sunset bathed the scene in warm hues, casting a glow over their laughter and toasts, making every moment feel cinematic.

A Few words from the couple…
“Our first date was frozen yogurt and a movie in Kalispell. We were instantly struck by one another when we stepped out of our cars and locked eyes (we admitted this later). From there, we met each other’s family and friends and started doing life together. We roadtripped, hit the lakes, skied and rode the mountains, went to concerts, camped and did all the Montana things. Joe proposed on August 4, 2023, when we closed on our first home together. Although ‘El Rancho’ wasn’t move-in ready, we wanted to stay our first night in our new home, so we planned a pizza night and brought an air mattress. While the pizza was in the oven, Joe asked me to run outside to the truck to grab the house keys he forgot on the seat. I grabbed them from the seat and walked back into the house to find Joe on one knee. He told me to look at the key ring, which, to my surprise, had my grandmother’s ring on it” -Paulina’s excerpt from Montana Bride
“Aurelia captures BEAUTIFUL photos. When I was looking for a wedding photographer, I knew I wanted sunny, happy and authentic photos to capture our engagement and wedding day. We got that and so much more! She captured our relationship and each of us exactly as we are to create photos that are timeless and we will treasure always. She is very organized, but not pushy at all about your vision and she does not overwhelm you on the actual wedding day! She is an amazing person and photographer – we highly recommend going with her for your wedding photos!!” -Paulina’s review of Aurelia K Photo
