Israel + Monique’s stunning sunset vow renewal took place on October 15, 2022. Israel and Monique reached out to me about their adventure vow renewal in St. Mary, Glacier Park in the beautiful mountains of Montana and my heart skipped a beat. My immediate response was, heck yes sign me up! I have known these two for many years, we go way back, they are clients that have turned into great friends of mine. Their wedding was actually my very FIRST wedding I ever photographed, so it was very special for them to ask me to photograph their vow renewal this time.

We started off in a whirlwind, unfortunately Monique’s hair and makeup artist cancelled the morning of at the last minute (due to sickness) so we were in crisis mode to find a solution. I am by no means a hair or makeup artist, but Monique trusted me to make her feel and look beautiful for her big day in photos; so I tried my absolute best to make her feel like the most beautiful version of herself, by helping with her hair and makeup as much as I possibly could. By the end of the day she was radiating with joy and proceeded to text me over the next several days about what products I used so I would say it was a success!

Since their vow renewal took place mid-October, Logan’s Pass Going-to-the-sun road had already closed for the season. We took the long scenic drive around to East Glacier to visit Many Glacier first and then arrive to St Mary’s for sunset!

Many Glacier was sunny and bright as we trekked over the cliffs above Swiftcurrent Lake, it was a beautiful autumn day. Monique changed into her dress and we did a their first look on top of the cliffs. It was such a sweet intimate moment for Israel to once again see Monique in her gorgeous BHLDN wedding dress.

After taking some beautiful pictures at Many Glacier, we continued our journey to St Marys. We stopped along the road at some of my favorite spots on our way to St. Mary’s!

We arrived to St Marys just before sunset, during the most phenomenal golden hour you have ever seen. The sun lit the mountains on fire and provided a magnificent backdrop as Monique and Israel poured their hearts out to one another through their vows. They both shed a few tears, and I was also getting blurry-eyed behind the camera as well :’)

After they read their vows to one another and had a private moment, we continued into blue hour and Glacier showed off for us with a gorgeous alpenglow that fall evening. I couldn’t get enough of these two and their love for one another! I literally photographed them until I couldn’t anymore due to darkness. It was a gorgeous day spent with the most wholesome people.
